Whats a good price for a Remington SPR 22 double rifle 45/70 gov never been fired with a manual but no box?

If that's the side by side, have fun. I've had my eye open for awhile, and all I've seen was the 30-06, and they seem to be around $1000. 0 -
yes I too have been looking, found one for 900.00 but in 30-06, was hoping for a rimmed cartridge caliber. Investigated with some owners it seems that many have problems with vertical regulation. You can regulate the barrels for left/right with loads and barrel regulator, but some have problems with one barrel being about 8in "high" at 50yds as compared to the other barrel. yes there is vertical adjustment with the sight but that leaves you with one barrel sighted for the gun and the other too high/low. Putting two barrels together, allowing for barrel vibration and maintain a true plane is not something left to mass production arms maker. Shoot one before you lay out cash, accept any minor left/right bullet impact, you can work that out but excessive high/low could be a serious problem. depends who joined the barrels that day in Russia.
Love to have a sxs in 7x57R for deer, or .22 hornet (for stopping charging woodchucks!) that does not cost as much as a new car.0 -
