savage model 110 stock
I have a savage model 110 .243 that I am looking for a wood stock for. I found a stock for a model 10. Will it fit my model 110?
Thanks

i believe the 110 model are all long action where as the model 10 can be a short or long action depending on what caliber the stock was on. 0 -
The 10 stock will not fit. There are a couple of variations of the short cartridge 110. Does your 243 have the rear sight mounted on a "bulge" on the barrel? If so, the standard 110 stock likely will not fit either. I recently stocked a 22/250 barrelled action with the "bulge" barrel into a 10 stock. The front pillar has to be cut out and relocated forward to match the front screw (about half way between current 10 &110). Not the most difficult operation but not a dropin. My estimated time is 4 hours (mostly with the Dremel) including glass bedding. Mine required relieving some material around the trigger mechanism. Finished product came out looking OK, about like a sloppy glassbed job. 0 -
thanks for your help I have also found a stock for a model 110 but in .223 I hope this will fit. It does not have a bulge in the barrel
Thanks
