Nickel cleaning reply (& SHOT show coverage)
Thanks for the suggestions and comments. It actually is a Colt Python that hadn't been shot in 20+ years that I'm looking to clean up, so I'll probably stay away from Hoppes solvent just to be on the safe side, although I use Hoppes oil for regular maintenance. Just at the moment I'm watching SHOT show coverage on outdoorchannel.com, LOTS of interesting-looking product coming out, hope to see some of it make it to local shops to check out.

I bought this nickel Smith model 14 a while back at an auction. It had a good amount of tarnish on the finish. I used Mothers mag polish on it and it turned out looking almost new. I was at the Shot Show on wed & thurs and yes, there was a lot of neat, new gear.
