Belgian Browning .22 Mfg Date?

Earlier this week I saw a post about the value of a Belgian Browning .22 and someone said that the earlier models had wheel sights. So I looked at the serial number of the one I had and can't seen to figure out what year it was made. The serial number is T 50 8 76. I always figured it was made in 76 but that doesn't match what Browning has on their website. Anyone have an idea of what year it is, or what year they stopped making wheel sights?

    Best I can tell it is 1959. Check this website:

    Not sure when they stopped with the wheel rear sight; probably early '60s.

    Browning SN's during the mid 60's/70's time frame are very confusing. My WAG is that DOM is 1967.

    A friend has a Belgian Browning semi auto 22 with the serial #77XX. From looking at the site posted by 22hipower above I believe it was made in 1956. Is this correct? Does anyone know where he can find a wheel sight for his rifle? It has been replaced with a fold down sight. Thanks in advance! Gunswapper.
