Anyone know how ? Read the sticky, still can't do it and won't subscribe to a hosting site - don't need it for anything or place else.
    Thanx in advance.

Unless you want to host them from your own website (which is possible), you'll need somewhere ELSE on the web to host the pictures if you want to hotlink them into a post on this (or any other) message board.

Having a public site for your pictures also allows anyone else you like to see them.

The procedure is actually REALLY simple:

    a. Take your pictures on your camera.

    b. Save them on your computer.

    c. Create a FREE account with any of several FREE image hosting sites. I like Photobucket, but there are many others that do the same thing. This shouldn't take more than a few minutes.

    d. Use the directions on the sight to upload your picture for hosting. It usually involves just clicking on one button, then browsing to the image you want to upload on your computer, then clicking "save". It make take a minute or so for the image to upload depending on big the image is, how fast your internet connection is and how busy the server on the receiving end is.

    e. Make your Gunbroker post and put the URL of your image into img brackets like this:

    [ img ]http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm319/rkjb41/DSC001772.jpg [ /img ]

When you do that (omitting the extra spaces I put in between the brackets just for demonstration purposes), the Gunbroker message software will automatically post your image, like so:

    DSC001772.jpg

If you don't want to type the "img" tags, just clicking on the little yellow mountain range at the top of the post text editor will make them automatically.

The URL of your image can be obtained directly from the hosting site.

    And that's it.

Like many other here I belong to several forum sites, all contain a image icon. Simply click on the icon while posting message and type in image name. Done. If any any site needs this feature it surely is this one due to the complex nature of the topic.
