Scratched slide
Hey guy's my XD-9 was at a buddies house in a case with another pistol and I went to retrieve them and I noticed the XD-9 had a small scratch on the slide. The scratch isn't deep but its about 1/4 of an inch long and kind of jaggad. I'm wondering if there's anything out there that I could use to try to touch it up a little so it's less obvious? I am very anal about my guns and I always keep them in pristine condition and I'm pretty sure they were taken out and handled when I wasn't there which really irritates me but theres nothing I can do about it now. I would really like to get it touched up to the best of my ability.

I was thinking that, but the XD slide is dull and I wasn't sure if that would essentially leave a shiny streak against the dull/flat background. 0 -
Use the closest colored Crayola crayon , rub it into scratch and oil . Should help ![^] 0 -
Along the crayon lines, I've filled some screw holes with sealing wax (available at stationary stores) and it can give pretty decent results though I question whether it would work on something as shallow as a scratch.
