Greifelt Rifles
Anyone familiar with Greifelt rifles that might be able to give me some information on them? Bolt action in 7x64...but have no clue about them or going prices for them.
I appreciate the help on it. Still trying to get more pics of the pistol. I was told that the rifle was likely a WW2 takeback due to a cut along the stock "duffel cut".

Hello Bull ride 8 it sounds like you have a German rifle in 7X64 the 7X65R and the Remington 280 /7mm express are all just about the same cartridge the 7X65R is a rimmed cartridge mostly for Drillings and combo /cape guns all of them are very good cartridges. We would need close-up in focus pictures of all parts of the rifle not long distance shots that don't show details to give you a value. Look at the top of this forum and look at the post labeled STICKY on HOW TO POST PICTURES.
EDITThat is a very high grade rifle It is set up for CLAW type scope mounts and it would cost $$ to have the correct type rings and scope to put on this rifle [:(].the other thing you would have to replace the recoil pad I think but some of the features that I see in the rifle to add to the value are #1 full length Stock. #2 Horn Trigger Guard #3 great looking wood on the stock.#4 double set triggers#5 great looking Ribbed Oct barrel with nice looking sights #6 looks like Case Color Receiver #7 I don't really care for them but high grade Greener Safety on a 98 Mauser type action is Rare /Costly. The pistol is also rather rare and Could bring good money if you find the right person.0 -
I've owned a few Greifelt rifles in .22 Hornet. The same rifles were also marketed as ZiDi and 2 or 3 other trade names. In any case, they were very good quality. Greifelt also sold shotguns and drillings. 0 -
7X64 GREIFELT & CO SUHL. Stamped on the barrel is GERR KUPFER DRESNEN PRAG.
The pistol is a 43 cal PARKER FIELD & SON 6 SHOT REVOLVER. FROM 233 HIGH HOLBORN LONDON.

We need more info on the revolver, specifically the proof marks. These will denote country of origin. Back in the 19th Century when these revolvers were made, sometimes the English manufacturers would sell Belgian made revolvers with their name on them. These could be sold much cheaper then similar revolvers actually made in England. 0 -
