Mossberg 5500 MKII vs. 5500

Could someone pls tell me if the ACTION BAR SUB ASSEMBLY of these shotguns are interchangeable? And does caliber matter for this specific part?

  Mossberg support will tell you. That part can break, and that is why the 5500 MarkII ended in favor of the 9200 series.

  Unfortunately Mossberg support could not answer, isn't that surprising! Instead they directed me to call National Mossberg Collectors Association -send msg awaiting their reply.

  I have a 5500 mk II, got a 9200 shot both 5500 whooped its but out to 75 yards . good gun hold on to it . have shot turkey at 90 yards.
