Legal to sell in all states?

I am a new member do not hold an ffl. I have an original thompson auto ordnance 50 round drum I would like to sell. My question is can I sell it to anyone in the 50 states legally. Where can I find these rules? Thanks

No, some states (and some cities) still have bans modeled after the '94 federal ban.

Off hand Cali, Mass, NY - I'm positive there are others but I can't remember right now.

I'd find an online retailer with similar items (high capacity magazines) and see where they will/wont' ship.

Can only speak for New York: If the L-drum has a SerNo stamped onto it, (the SerNo will prove date of manufacture by the company), and the magazine was made prior to the Federal ban, you are good to go vis-a-vis selling to us poor folks in New York.

NY 'grandfathers' pre-ban high capacity magazines, and, also, firearms.

Factory letter, or sumsuch is a must.

Don't ship item to a New York City address.

You need to look it up in ATF P5300.5, State Laws and Published Ordinances - Firearms, which can be downloaded from the ATF website.

New Jersey has a limit of 15 rounds in the mag.

With respect to CA, high cap (+10 rds) can not be imported, but hi cap magazine repair kits can be imported and sold. A high cap magazine repair kit can consist of a mag body, a follower, a floorplate and a spring and are sent into the state disassembled.
