S&W Whats it worth question

I have a friend that just came into a commemorative S&W and was wondering what it was worth. I have no idea so I thought I would ask you guys.

It is an unfired .357 Alaska state trooper gun. It has the original case complete with cleaning kit.

Here is a pic, I only had my phone with me so it is not that great,

  Value would depend a lot on if it was a cataloged commemorative or just a limited low production special order run for a specific organization.
  
  If none of our folks can shed light on the above. Post to one of the on-line S & W forum(s). One of the collectors on them probably would be able to give you chapter and verse on it, vis a vis numbers made and if it was cataloged. IMHO a NIB cataloged gun would be worth more.

  We need the model number (stamped inside the frame where it is covered by the cylinder). Or information from the box end label.
