pistol information

i have a pistol that was my grandfathers from the military.on the gun it reads fabrique nationale d'armes de guerre herstal belgique browning's patent depose. it also has markings on it (H),something that looks like a eagle,something that looks like a biplane and another eagle type marking behind trigger.i also have serial number and documentation from military that states that the military allowed my grandfather to take the weapon as his personal weapon.any information on this gun will be great.thank you

    Probably one the the two pistols made by FN, during the German occupation of Belgium in the 1940's.

    Either it's a Browning Hi Power or a Model 1922.

    With out quality photos, there is not a lot we can do to help you. On the front page of our forum near the top is a "sticky" with instructions on how to post photos to the forum.
