rebarreled date #s ???
What numbers tell me what date my M1 Garand was rebarreled ? I know the receiver was made in mid Nov 1943 but the barrels nubers are as follows:
SA F6535448 12 54 MD 45.
With the two other military stamps to follow. The gun is in great shape better than most seen for sale, would be fun to know were they been and what theve been threw- only if this faithful old M1 Garand could talk what stories could it tell ?
