Is it hard to get a C&R permit?
Who do I contact?
What do I do?

  I'm selling an old Martini (over 50 years old) with a new .222 Remington barrel. Prospective buyers are telling me it's a C&R. Is it? If you say "yes", please post an ATF reference.

  Call the ATF. The EZ Check system does not work for C&Rs.

  I don't. ATF made a conscious decision to discontinue permitting us to verify them on EZ-Check. If they aren't worried, I'm not worried.
  
  Of course, I do look for an ink signed signature.
