hornady die set

i just found a set of hornady 44 special/mag dies. they say its a titanium nitride set. is this the same as carbide where i dont need to lube the case? or do i need to trade them in for a carbide set? they appear to be just about new.

    I don't have any of Hornady dies of this type, though I have replaced most of my RCBS, Lyman and other dies with Hornadys. My understanding is that , yes , you can use them just like carbide and many seem to feel that they are superior.

    They are supposed to be slicker that carbide. Need no lube.
