    Thanks for editing out those other identical posts. I still don't know what happened.

    Anyway, I hope somebody knows something about the Sears shotgun.

    Sears had a phone number you could call and receive 150.00 for the bolt.I sent mine in about 3 or 4 years ago.I don't know if they still have the buy back plan.They claim the bolt was unsafe to use in the gun.Try looking up sears gun bolt buy back or jc higgins bolt buy back.

    The buyback is still going, but is now a $50 Sears gift card. Some folks claim it was just one guy that pulled bolt out and hit himself in face, others claim it was bolt released on firing, came back and struck shooter. Since Sears paid out a LOT of money on the recall, I tend to believe story #2, but that's just me. Applied only to the 12 g, so if it was guy pulling bolt loose, would have been 16 and 20 also. Google Sears shotgun recall. You will find a lot for sale with no bolts- make great floor lamps or closet rods that will not sag.
