Model 1873
I'm considering the purchase of a Winchester Model 1873 and have a couple questions. On the top of the barrel the marking is .32 Cal. I've seen .32 WCF but not .32 Cal. I'm fairly certain that .32 WCF is 32-20 but would like to confirm the .32 Cal. Could it be 32-40? If so, how would that caliber effect the value of the rifle? Thanks,

That old Winchester is 100% completely original (except for the front sight). That said, the Buy Now price is almost 2X what that rifle is actually worth. 0 -

I have another quick question. I own a 1873 MFG in 1888 and has a round barrel. It's a third model and I have a letter for it.
My question is how common is the round barrel, most I see are octagon.0 -

I will assume that you are inquiring about a Sporting Rifle with a round barrel? If so, they are fairly common. I do not know what the exact ratio is between the octagon barrels and the round barrels, but from experience, it is somewhere in the 8:1 to 10:1 ratio.0
