Who does Original 1930's Winchester Rebuling
Does anyone know who does original Winchester type rebluing? I have a Model 52 made around 1930. It has almost all of it's bluing except on the trigger guard. It is completely gone just on that part and wants to start rusting on me. I weighed the benefits of reblue vs. not to reblue that particular part and decided to look around and see what's available.

Do not reblue it. Instead, keep it lightly coated in gun oil. 0 -
Have no idea if he is good or not but try this:

and of course there is Turnbull : www.turnbullrestoration.com0 -
I had the same issue with a .22 - model 74 Winchester. I decided to clean it real well and gently rub all of the metal parts down with break free (synthetic oil). I was successful in getting a light coat of this stuff everywhere. After over a year no rust and it's not "oily" to the touch. You may want to try this first, you can always re-blue if you don't like the results. 0
