find the one that shoots best out of your rifle, they'll all pretty much do the same job, getting the critters dead. But you gotta hit 'em first.[;)]

I am a big fan of Winchester Supreme. Works better than CCI or the cheaper Winchester ammo in my rifle. Others may vary.

Both my rifles (Anschutz Woodchucker, and Ruger SS Varmint), love the Winchester 34 grain Supreme. It is a TRUE jacketed HP, not just heavily plated. Both shoot sub-MOA, and the Ruger, which has been worked over, on a calm day will put 3 shots in a pencil eraser if I do my part.

That said, you have to find which ever one shoots the best in your rifle, and you stipulated 30 grain.

    Best

    EDIT 1

    quickmajik,

Do you know how much it takes to burn out a barrel in 22WMR...the fodder is surely not as cheap as 22LR.

the winchester supreme stuff is truely jacketed, it's possible that it is a more uniform and therefore a more consistantly accurate bullet.

TSR, I'm thinking 25K to 50K. Though if cleaning isnt regular or a bore rusts and is shot without proper cleaning it can have some very negitive effects in my experiance. Also people have a bad habbit of cleaning barrels from the muzzle end.. i've seen a few nasty guns around these parts.. Also, if I'm not mistaken thinly plated steel bullets where available for a decade or so, and thats never good for a barrel when shot by the houndreds..

that reminded me, V-max bullets have thin jackets.

I've seen pretty good 100 yard groups with both the hornady & CCI 30 grain Vmax rounds. usually in the .5- 1" range if the barrel hasnt been shot out, thats still darn good from the run of the mill bolt gun, the BC is around .095 for them two..

I'm pretty sure they are close to the same thing as the supreme bulletwise...

My advise would be to try all three, if you can get em.. I havent seen much of the v-max CCI ammo since mid last year...

22 mag accuracy seems to vary from rifle manufacturer to manufacturer and even individual rifle to rifle. experiment with various ammo. I have had good results with the new tnt cci mag cartridge, but poor results with any of the teflon tipped bullets. Always seem to do well with the old 40gr hp Win, economy priced ammo. I do not expect my 22mag to preform as a 22hornet . Also check out cci 22 WRF (predecessor to the 22 mag) ammo, comes in solid nose and hollow point makes a excellent quiet lower velocity round for the 22 mag. for squirrels.
