44 mag Marlin 1894
Hi, will these lever guns cycle what ever they're fed?

Depends. Generally yes, but some combination of bullet profile and o.a.l. would trip up my 1894 from time to time. If you're hunting with it, just make sure that what you feed it will chamber smoothly whether you have to work the lever as slowly and quietly as possible or as quickly as your reflexes will allow. 0 -

Mine is somewhat fussy to overall cartridge length. It is an older one, from about early 1970's (?). I don't shoot much factory ammo in it, and mostly cast bullets in the reloads. It is Micro-Groove, and does OK; I don't push them too hard. I have shot a couple thousand Lyman cast 429421 in .44 Special cases. It will feed those fine. In .44 Magnum cases, it feeds the 240 gr. jacketed bullets of most any make just fine. 429421 in Magnum cases is a two-shooter proposition; one in chamber plus one in magazine. 0
