There are too many variables for us to play "20 Questions". If you want to post photos (showing all markings) we may be able to help. Or, you can do your own research by browsing COMPLETED AUCTIONS on the Gunbroker auction side (Click on the Smart Search link near the top of the GB home page & select SHOW HIGHEST NUMBER OF BIDS FIRST).

    thanks so much.

it is a 270...the steel is in very good shape; there are nicks in the stock etc, all minor.

I don't think the stock has been cut, and the butt seems to be plastic. The gun's serial number is: 578022.

Here is the link to some pics:

ps - this rifle has not been shot since the mid 90's. After it was shot, I had it professionally serviced and cleaned.

Also, the scope in the picture is one my father put on in the mid 80's; the Redfield scope that was originally on the gun is in the box.
It was my grandmother's who was a Texas rancher.

    Thanks for your help!

Does the Ruger Super Bearcat have one cylinder with it or two? some were made with a 22 WMR cylinder, then recalled...never to be seen again. If that is one of those, it is quite valuable.

I don't really know what you mean by 'one cylinder or two' but it has the gold (brass?) trigger guard and came in a regular bearcat box. There were no other components in the box. It came with instructions for a "Super Bearcat" and a torn-out calendar page dated 4-14-72. Written on it was "Revolver 91 11510 at Target $49.95 Luger Bearcat.

Good stuff! Thanks for the info!
