Todd does it like like the regular Rem 700 trigger? It probably is, a call to Remington would be a quick way to confirm. To get the trigger to 1-2 lbs they probably replaced the trigger spring and played with the sear engagement. Sear engagement can be adjusted and springs can be replaced.

The trigger from a 700 ML is interchangeable with a 700 BDL, I just replaced a broken trigger in a 700 ML last week and used a "take off" that I picked up on the auction side for $40-50 bucks.. They are almost identical and are definitely interchangeable.

The sear is 100% identical. If your sear has been modified and you want a cheap one I have a good sear from a stainless trigger from the old 700ML trigger I removed. How does $10.00 sound? Shipped to the 48. if you want it I'll throw it on the auction side for you.

If the trigger is the same, the sear engagement screw is located on the rear edge of the trigger housing unit - it's the only screw on the rear edge, the trigger return spring and overtravel screw are on the front. Turning the sear adjustment screw counter clockwise will increase sear engagement and make the trigger pull heavier, a very slight turn makes quite a difference.

if you are not a gunsmith it would probably be a good idea to find one to repair or replace the remington trigger. sear engagement is very touchy. if done wrong accidental discharge can occur.
