ar-15 barrels
Does it require a gunsmith to change a barrel on an AR-15, from say a .223 to a 6.8 SPC. Headspace, barrel vice etc. If no, who makes good bbls. I have a DPMS NIB in 223, I'd like to change to something else. THX HAWKSHAW

redhead71,
John Krieger will make you just about anything you desire for an AR platform.

Then you can approach all of the hundreds of barrel suppliers to find the exact one you want and are willing to afford:

If you can't seem to locate the exact barrel you require for some reason, contact your AR15 gunsmith and have him make one for you. They are drop-dead simple to make but he will need your bolt and an extension to complete the headspace.
