Your best bet would probably be to contact Ruger Customer Service

If you send it to Ruger with your targets showing how far its off, they will make it right.

I have had a SP101 for about 5 years and love it. Not a target pistol but for what it is designed for - no complaints. Something is wrong - as others have said - talk to Ruger. I have found their customer service A-1.

If the pistol is designed (sights regulated) for 158 grain bullets and you shoot higher velocity 110 grain bullets, the bullets will hit low. I am not sure if the 101 has adjustable sights.

So it's Point of Aim and not accuracy that's the problem? Or both?

being your hold, trigger control and eyesight aren't a variable, what grain ammo are you using? are you shooting off hand or on the bench? firing single or double action? have others shot your sp with the same results? only 3 times out and only 125 rounds to learn your new short barreled revolver isn't enough to blame the gun. this is a 2-3 inch bellygun with a miniscule sight radius not a 6&7/8 target pistol or a 7.5 single action revolver. spend some more time with it. i've had the best results with 158 grain semi jacketed hollow points in both 357 and 38.

Have someone else shoot it just to make sure flich, antisipation, grip, etc are not involved.

Buddy of mine bought an S&W 642 recently and was all over the place with it. He thought it was the gun. I and another guy shot it and both of us were able to shoot sub 2" groups at 10 yards.

The owner with a bit more practice and the right load has been able to get his groups down where they should be. He also changed his point of aim from 6 o'clock to dead center.

Good luck with it, I am not a big fan of Ruger Revolvers due to their terrible trigger pull, but I do like the SP 101 and have fired a couple of them over the years.

Using a feeler gauge how far away is the cylinder from the forcing cone? How crisp is the forcing cone?
