Falconetti 12g semi

A bud had a lovelly smooth action falconetti 12g semi auto shotgun, it looks just like the later franchi 48al, i have, diffrence been the falconetti has external chokes. Its a real gem to swing, & use thing is , im trying to find out more.......what the history of falconetti branding, is it a franchi or something else?
