P-38 holster
The holster for the P-38 I mentioned before about the grips is marked joa 1943 and Eagle over WaA706. Can't figure out the strap that goes over the top. Has a hook or latch but nothing to hook to. The holster is in fine condition and nothing looks like it is missing from it. Just can't figure out what the strap was supposed to hook to.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

GECO is a Trade Mark/Trade Name used by the Gustav Genschow Co., which was a large German manufacturer/distributor of sporting goods and firearms. Originally their business dated to at least the 1920's, and it is still operating under new ownership. Without any other markings it is hard to say anything about the holster other then it was a common type used in Germany for large military type handguns. Probably was made by a subcontractor for Genschow, could be for the post W W II paramilitary/police in West Germany. 0
