can a pinned SKS be unpinned??
Sorry for my potential ignarance in posting this question!
If I have a Soviet era SKS that has had its magazine pinned to 5 rounds (presumably to be compliant somewhere along its journey through life), can I 'unpin' it? (that is return it to a functioning 10 round magazine)
Is this very difficult or expensive?

You may remove it as long as 10 rd magazines are legal in your city, county, & state, & you have no plans to hunt in areas that limit the size of a rifle's magazine.
However, I don't know if you can remove the pin without damaging your magazine. Be cautious, as it may be difficult to find an original Russian fixed mag.
