Best Conceal Revolver
I currently carry a Kel-Tec PF-9 for a my daily conceal gun, but I've had it for a while now and I'm getting the urge to change to something a little different. My Kel-Tec has been a very reliable gun for me, but I would like to look for something in a snubnose .357 revolver so that I can shoot .357 mags and +j+p .38 ammo. I'm just looking for some recommendations on what to check out. I would prefer a revolver with a hammer, but hammerless would also be an option.
I've shot a hammerless snubnose S&W M&P .357, which was extremely light weight, but kicked like a damn mule with standard .357 range ammo, so I would like to find something heavier to manage the recoil a little better.
Anyone have a decent suggestion?

A step up from that would be a Ruger Speed Six 2.75" barrel or a S&W K frame magnum with 2.5-3" barrel, models 19, 66, 13, or 65.

Smith model 60 is probably the top of the line production all-steel .357. Ruger SP101 is an excellent choice also.
Between the two of them, the Ruger is the less expensive gun, and probably the stronger (though that's probably irrelevant since you'd be unlikely to wear out EITHER one). The Smith will cost more, but have a better trigger, and a wider variety of grips and other accessories available.
I'm pretty sure that both Charter Arms and Taurus offer all steel .357 snubs as well, but IMO, you're better off with the Smith or Ruger.
In terms of other choices, the Smith K-frame snubnoses (like model 19, 66, etc, or different manufacturers versions on medium frames) are good, but they're both much larger and much heavier than the J-frame guns, and really are not practical for pocket carry like your PF-9.
Also, as a final tip, in my experience "boot" type 2-finger grips magnify recoil. Switching to ordinary 3 finger grips can help there.0 -

I went back and forth between the Ruger SP101 and the Smith 60. The Ruger is rock solid and reliable but also heavy and rough in some areas. The Smith was lighter and had a better trigger. When I shot them them, I found the Ruger to be comfortable even with full power .357 loads. I still rely on my Ruger for my "car" gun (it doesn't stay out all night) but if I carried one in an in the belt holster, I might lean toward the Smith. The suggestions of the other posters are all excellent too. 0 -
