Shipping firearms
Could someone help me? I am a non-licensee FFL. How are non-FFL holders supposed to ship firearms? What is the best way? I have sold a couple at auction and I've had real difficulty finding someone to ship them. And also, they are wanting outrageous prices. When I see other ads for shipping for $15-20 what means are these people using? Please advise. Thank you

I live in Pennsylvania, and may need to ship a firearm to the manufacturer in Florida. What is the best/legal manner to ship a firearm without aggravating the authorities? I understand that the USPS does not allow pistols to be shipped, but have heard that UPS allows shipping via overnight express?! Any suggestions? As usual, any information is appreciated. 0 -
long guns may be shipped by USPS(I just sent one out yesterday) or you can use UPS or Fedex. Handguns may not be mailed by a non FFL. You have to go to a main hub of UPS or Fedex-not a UPS Store or a Fedex Kinko's. SOME US Post offices will hassle you about shipping a gun and others will not. If they do have them check their Domestic Mail Manual regarding firearms and shipping-they have no authority to tell you that you cannot ship a unloaded long gun. No matter how you ship it, it's a good idea to ship it insured. 0 -
Pistol - get a local FFL to ship it via USPS for you - $30 for him to transfer it in/out for you, $20 for shipping, and you are still saving money on your other option (FedEx or UPS next day air).
Rifle? You can ship a rifle via USPS
No matter how you ship don't reference guns, ammo, etc. on the outside of the package. Send it to Bob's Inc instead of Bob's Gunshop0 -
If it is a pistol have them send you a pre paid shipping label. 0
