UPDATE _ Ruger Vaquero .45 Colt/.45ACP Cyl
I put it up for a penny, no reserve and a BIN of $750.
Pa Redneck bought it at the BIN and there was a LOT of action on it.

This is in a box marked "Special Edition"
1) Polished Stainless Steel
2) Convertible - .45 Colt and .45ACP cylinders
3) It is like new, with only the .45ACP cylinder having been fired, and I don't believe a full cylinder was fired
4) It comes with a hand tooled, robust, right hand rig, as well as an untooled Western style shoulder rig.
5) It hasn't been fired since I bought it
6) The grips are beautifully figured factory grips of, I think, rosewood (??).
The following are the only photos I have of it.
I will be getting it out of the pawnshop next week and putting it up for auction on GB. The proceeds will enable me to get a couple of other firearms out of pawn, to auction.
Can you give me an estimated range of what it may sell for ??
I looked at the auction side, and there are no dual cylinder convertibles there, of all the Vaqueros listed.
I'm looking, once again, for you EXPERTS to help me out.

Just wanted to remind you that the user name and password I gave you are still good for the Bluebook on-line. Hope the New Year is treating you OK.
I would say that it should be worth at least 550.00 with the convertible cylinder...just for the gun. I would add another 100.00 for the holster's, or sell them seperately. I would start it on the auction side if I were you Mr. Wilson...if you really wish to sell it.

Me either Doug. It was not listed, but I tried to converge a Blackhawk convertible, and a Vaquero together. Personally the whole rig should fall between $600.00-700.00.

Is it a KBNV-455X in the SN range from 57-06XXX to 58-47XXX? If so it is a special distributor offered by Davidson's. There are other specials out there also from Accusport and Lipseys in the 45 convertibles.
I usually start my auctions at $.01, it will reach it's going rate, but this type of auction isn't for everyone, or the weak of heart.
I think the value of your Vaquero is $500-$600. Just for the Vaquero. I agree with above posts, sell the leather separate.

The KBNV-455X, I don't know. The box is at the pawnshop.
The revolver has none of the wear shown in the auctions you cited and is mirror polished.

Before putting it on the auction, I would check with the guys on the Ruger forum for their input on current FMV.
Things are really crappy for lots of folks money wise now, i.e. worrying a lot more about feeding their families then putting another toy in the safe.
I wouldn't go the penny auction route at all, but start it at $400 and hope for the best. Depending on what the guys on the Ruger Forum tell you, you might get away with a even higher starting price.0 -
