Thank you Pauline!! As a newcomer to the forum also I'm doing lot of reading..less asking...but your informed response on the engraving family at Winchester gives me great hope as I've grabbed a few that have no names, initials, or history save one Neil Hartlip signed 42...Can you elaborate on him a bit? I am told he was an engraver there? Thanks in advance...lee

Neil Hartliep was never an in house engraver for Winchester. He did a few outside contract jobs for customers. I believe they were done in the mid to late 80s. 0
