luger What type

This is a luger that has been chromed at some point with no name left on it. All the number to everything internal parts and toggle trigger ect match. I do know that the value is greatly damaged buy the recrome any idea of value and type maker.

The grip safety identifies it a being a Model 1906, in 30 Caliber, with a 4 3/4" barrel.

I believe the "B" in a circle identifies contract arms made for Brazil. Mauser contract rifles made for Brazil, of the same early 1900's vintage have a similar marking.

If it is Brazilian? It's a extremely rare pistol as only 5,000 were made, few survived. To bad it's been bubbaed!

It looks like a 1900-1906 7.65 Parabellum with 4 3/4" barrel,possibly Swiss contract.
It's a shame the pistol was chromed and the original grips replaced.
It has no collector's value and value is what an interested person would pay.
It might be a good shooter.

Will still bring 500-700. as it is...with original grips right here on Gunbroker...imho..nambu

Ted Green shows some neat work in restoration.
I don't know if he will deplate a bumperchrome gun, but it would not hurt to ask. Value would be improved but probably not more than enough to balance out the cost of restoration. Sure would look better, though.
