I'm thinking of selling this gun, but I'd like some opinions on its value. Will post pics soon.

    If none of our folks can help you as far as FMV is concerned, you might try to on-line auctions to get a approximate value. Colts up the gazu on the auctions, just don't pay any attention to the ridiculous asking prices. The actual selling prices for the various models will likely give you a ballpark figure for yours.

    That said, not a good time to be selling anything with so many people out of work and hurting. It might be to your advantage to just store it away for a couple of years, till hopefully things turn around.

    rufe-snow - thanks for the reply. I have a couple of friends who are interested in buying the gun. One offered $500 but I thought that was low. I've looked at auction sites but can only seem to find asking prices, not what they sold for.

    go to the completed auctions. You will have to log in. Once there just scroll through auctions and look at the ones that are similar to yours that actually sold.
    Good luck and nice piece, when things get better I hope to find something similar.

    $500 is way too low...I would bet that pistol would sell for between $750 and $850 on auction.

    I agree with Chris. You can't buy a Colt like that for less than $750 in my area.

    I found two in completed auctions. One sold for $800, the other sold for $630. The $800 gun wasn't the enhanced model like yours.
