XD45 mag is hard to eject
If the mag is full it is all I can do to push the ejector button and eject the mag. If the mag is empty, it ejects fine like when the pistol was new. Anyone have this problem before with their XD? If so, what was the cause and the fix? I just wrote to Springfield and should recieve a reply soon. Thanks.

I had an XD 45 sold it and got the SW M&P but I had the same problem and thats one of the reasons I got rid of it as well as the crappy trigger, good luck!! 0 -
ni hoa, Would you post the reply that you receive.
Thanks.0 -
I will be happy to pass along what they tell me. They emailed me and said they were very busy now and would get back with me soon. 0 -
I cleaned the mag release again and found a small amount of gunk "looked like thick grease" in the assembly. I always keep the pistol in my truck and it has been very cold here. It has warmed up and I think the warmth caused the gunk to release from the mag release assembly. The pistol functions great now. Still have not heard from Springfield yet, they did say they were very busy now. 0 -
HAVE 2 XDs
mine work just fine, have had 1 for 3 years and the other for 1.5 years0 -
Scout53. Still no word from Springfield. But mag release is still working well. Must have been the gunk in the release. Disappointed in Springfields lack of customer service. After all, I have bought 3 XD45's. 0 -

Most likely half their customer service is preoccupied with shot show.0 -
Scout53 I got an answer from Springfield today.
"Good morning,
A full mag will be hard to release with the slide closed. Our pistols
were designed for the mags to release with the slide open.
Enjoy the day!"
Today I tried what Springfield suggested and it worked just like they said. With the slide open, easy to eject, slide closed is very hard to eject. I learned something new today. I am happy nothing is wrong with my pistol. [:)]0
