HELP PLEASE

My father in law found a .22 caliber pistol made by US REVOLVER CO.
We can only find a serial number on the gun. # 25780
We would like more information about the gun. Year? Value?
Anything would be appreciated.

    I inherited a Parker Hale bolt action nicely engraved and checkered with inlays. The gun is 7mm Magnum, about 40 years old and fired about 25 times Any estimate on value? Thanks, Wayne Girard thewbje@aol.com I also got a pistol that is very old, opens with the barrel swiveling sideways, single shot, the markings are F.v.Dreyse Sommerda looks like 9.5mm. any help?

    I doubt it is a .380.
    And not rare.
    And no collector value if rebarreled.
    Weatherby can tell you where and when it was sold if you call them.

    Did you by chance mistype and mean 308 ??
    All them 6's in the serial number point to the devils work [:D]
    As mentioned rebarreling would reduce the collector value.....

    According to Weatherby, The Gun, The Man, The Legend by Grits and Tom Gresham, rifles were made on F. N. Mauser actions from 1949 to 1963 with serial numbers 1400 to 10962. There were Weatherby's made from customers' rifles between 1945 and 1961. With that low serial number I would think your rifle was in that group.
