How to remove epoxy from stainless steel?
Many years ago I used epoxy on a S&W 645 to mount a rail for a laser sight. I have removed the rail, but still have a bit of left over residue. I would like to remove it, but have no idea how to do it without leaving marks. Can someone out there tell me how to accomplish this? Thanks

I think if you heat it with your wife's or girl friend hair dryer it will soften. Then rub if while soft with
WD -40.

Paint remover designed to remove epoxy will remove it and not hurt your gun. 0 -
A1BigTuna,
Acetone will remove epoxy but be aware it will also damage grips or any plastic parts such as sight inserts.
Acetone is sold anywhere fiberglass materials are sold (auto or marine supply houses). If you only need a small amount, finger nail polish remover will also work!
