Maverick Derringer
I have a Maverick Derringer .357 A.JBERT & C.GARDONE VT ITALY SER. # 1834. I fired it and both rounds went off at the same time.Their is now a loose part inside the handle, like a pin with a spring around it. The hammer now will not engage when trigger is pulled and hammer is back. I know this spring controls the firing, but I cannot find any diagrams of this pistol to reassemble it. Can you help me find one or send something with a guided description of what I should do. I believe the value to be about 500.00 for the pistol and I really want it to work again.

I'm sure it says "A. Uberti", not "A. Jbert".

Getting parts might be a problem, if you have to replace them. The Mavericks were only imported prior to change in the gun law(s) circa 1968. Doubtful that a whole lot made it in prior to then. 0 -
A diagram for a Remington derringer, or even a Cobra, Bond Arms, or American Derringer should tell you what you need to know. They all work basically the same way.
It is highly unlikely that parts from any of these guns will fit your Uberti!0 -
I think your estimate of the value of a working Maverick is substantially less than you believe, but that's probably no consolation.
I can mail you a diagram/assembly instructions for the Remington double derringer, if you send me an email. But, I don't think it will do you any good without spare parts, which you will probably find you need. And, these are fairly complex, with lots of little parts; I once tried to repair a Hy Hunter derringer with the same problem as yours, & had to give up.
