Holster and Grips for Taurus .44 mag?
I have a Taurus .44 mag revolver. This is the model before they came out with the Tracker. It has a 6" top ported barrell, and the stock rubber grip. I'm looking for a fitted leather holster so that I can carry it hog hunting. I've been looking at the auctions on here, as well as on websites for Bianchi, Galco, Safariland, etc. but no one seems to make a holster for this model Taurus.
I am also trying to find a new grip for this gun, because the stock one doesn't feel very stable when I'm shooting.'I'd like to find more of a target style grip, but again my internet searches haven't turned up much except factory replacement grips for this model.
Any advice on where to look would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Darin

Go to one of the holster sites and see what size they list for your revolver and then see what more popular model uses the same size.
For hunting, you may want to consider a cross the chest holster and these are usually a general fit size such as med, large, etc.0 -
I know of one leather holster maker that would help you out, and not take you to the cleaners. Rob at Simplyrugged.com. I used to work with his wife in Idaho, and Rob is a great guy. His "Chesty Puller" is a great setup for hunting too. 0
