    Some Ruger rings do come in a set with two of the same height, for example, rings made for the 77/44 carbine and some handguns. However, as has already been posted, the ring set that your brother needs does come with two rings of different heights. Take his rifle to any good stocking gun store and they can show you the set he needs, or just call Ruger and describe the rifle and provide the serial number and model number, and they will tell you which set to buy.
