westernfield 30 serial location
hello-i have recently aquired a wards westernfield model 30 (savage/stevens 520) and don't seem to find any serial number,anyone have one and can tell me where it is located or didn't they put any on these guns?

If it was made before 1968 , it may not have a sn. The Gun Control Act of 1968 required sn on all guns, before that time some guns had them, some did not. Chances are yours never had one. 0 -
Prior to 1968 there was no legal requirement to put serial numbers on rifles and shotguns. Since the 520 dates to the 20's/30's probably never had a serial number. 0 -
