S&W Value for insurance purposes
Hello, My dad gave me a model 1500 S&W 270 it was bought originally in the early 90's for him and he never got to use it. It has a simmons 3x9 wide angle scope . I was wondering of it's value to add to my renters insurance. It's a keepsake now and has never had a shell in the chamber except when the factory test fired it. I would appreciate any help. TY

$350 for the rifle. If it is really new and you have the box and papers to go with it: $400. The scope and mount are worth about fifty bucks tops, if it is also brand new with the box and the papers. The 1500 Series are nice rifles, but are not worth a lot of money and the scope is a cheapo that can be bought through mail order for under $50 brand new. 0 -
this is the same rifle as the Howa and Weatherby Vanguard, very nice rifles for the $$$ but about $400 tops. 0
