Start with 24.3 to 27.0gr. for the 50gr. Use 23.7 to 26.3gr. for the 52gr,s. The Ramshot load data doesn't list a load for 52gr. bullets, I gave you the load for 53gr,s. Those light bullets might not group very good if the AR has a 1-7 or 1-9 twitst. Go to www.ramshot.com and you can download the loading data.

EDIT the 1-9 twist is best suited to 62gr to 75gr. bullets. It really depends on the length of them more than the weight.

I tried the Ramshot site but all I could find was tables for 1-12 twist barrels even though I was told that Tac would be a very good powder in AR 15's. Mine is the Colt with 1-9 twist. dcs, are you suggesting I use a heavier bullet for best performance? If so, I am open to suggestions.

I have no problems with 50-75gr bullets in my 1-9 upper. I use H335 and Varget.

If your barrel has a 1x12" twist - you are limited to 55 grain ammo and smaller.
If your barrel has a 1x9" twist - you can shoot either the 55 grain or 62 grain (actually up to 69 grains reliably)
If your barrel has a 1x7" twist - you can shoo the 55 grain, 62 grain, 75 and 77 grain - even all the way up to 80 grains reliably

    Hope this helps.

That was an interesting link. It looks like I will be selling or trading the 50's and 52's for some 55's and 69's. Now to find the required amount of Tac and I should be ready to start building my 'pet' load. Thanks.
