Colt DA 45
Hello,
I'm planning to sell a Colt DA 45 and looking for ballpark value.
5 1/2" barrel, good original shape, US M.C. No. 1 w/ 133 under it.
#26133 inside the chamber. Have ten 45 Colt bullets with R - P on them.
Any help is appreciated. Will be happy to send pics.
Thanks,
John

The USMC 1909 New Service .45 is quite scarce, only about 1300 made. Most of those were given to our friends in Hati and Cuba when the 1911 auto was adopted.
Condition is everything. Blue Book shows a tremendous range of dollar values depending on the amount of ORIGINAL finish remaining.
It would pay you to read the instructions for posting pictures here so some of the real experts could see your gun without having to go to any trouble.0 -

Item in blue: Which chamber? Your gun has six..and should be smooth inside. Now, if you are referring to the frame-recess, where the crane closes into the frame, then you're good to go.
Since you are willing to post pictures, please do so. As it stands right now, value is between $600, and $1,800 (or higher).
Help us to narrow that range somewhat. Post pictures here. Many collectors viewing. Thanks, Joe0
