  The stocks have most definitely been refinished. The physical configuration appears to be correct (the 1/2 octagon barrel and the button mag). The Lyman No. 1 tang sight was most likely added after the fact, but that does not hurt anything. The overall graded condition of that rifle is quite low as a result of the refinished stocks, and the fact that nearly 100% of the bluing on the receiver frame has been scrubbed off of it. My personal opinion is that it is worth maybe about %50 of the opening bid.
