ruger m77 mkII rings
my brother has a ruger m77 mkII that he is trying to find rings for. it needs a high in the front and an extra high for the rear. does anyone sell them in a set like that or is buying 2 sets of rings the only option here? please point me in the right direction. thanks for the help guys.

thanks rufe. i already checked brownells and it seems that the packages contain the same sized heights for front and rear even though they're marked for ruger m77 mk2. At least, they're not listed as a different size for front and rear. I guess a phone call to customer service wouldn't hurt though. any other ideas of where to look? i checked the auction side, fleabay, midway, and brownells... 0 -

oops, i forgot to list that i had checked ruger. I did find them at ruger, but i figured with as many ruger rifles that are out there, there's got to be a company somewhere that sells a high and a extra high together in a set to address this problem. I figured that would probably save him some time and money if we could find such a place. Not that we are trying to cheap out on it, but we want to shop around. I can just say that so far, I'm damn glad I have 2 remington 700's and don't have to deal with the pain in the butt rugers. My brother has 2 rugers and they're great rifles, don't get me wrong, but the one that has the scope on it, already had the rings when he got it. We've just now stumbled into this problem on his other rifle that he's finally decided to put a scope on and shoot. I would've guessed that someone had come up with an easy solution by now : ) Your advice so far has not been ignored, I will start making phone calls tomorrow. Any more ideas where to look? Sorry, but no companies mix and match rings in different height sets. You can get a front and rear pari in low, medium, high, or extra high, and even an adaptor to adapt the ruger to weaver/picatinny rail type.
You never mentioned why your brother wants these rings like this. He will not be able to mount a scope in them without ruining it. They will have to be at least lapped, and that will most likely destroy the ring.0 -
the 77 REQUIRES different height rings , They come that way from Ruger and whoever else sells rings, There is a front and a back ring. They must be mounted the proper way or the scope won't be level.The taller one goes in the back 0 -
The Leupold rings for that rifle are the proper rings, although the packaging says nothing about different heights.
Any good gunshop should have them in stock.0 -
New Ruger Rings are marked on the package by numbers.
3=low
4=med
5=high
6=X-high
B=blue
K=stainless
0=offset ring
30=30mm rings
1" rings are not marked
ie.... 4B30 are medium blue rings for 30mm scope tube.
