They go out about 50 yds or so then explode. There is an M80 inside. Really cool on New Years and July 4

"DO you think there still safe to shoot"

Propellant highly corrosive*. Use BP shooters' technique to clean. Best, Joe

*First hand experience from similar shells labelled 'Shreikpatronen' (German) and made in the '80's. It was found to be significantly corrosive

yep VERY corrosive so clean the barrel after use. Worth the fun showing people who have never seen them in use. Great for scaring geese at the wrong end of the field too[;)][8D]

Another fun use is to wait until the day shift sergeant is alone in the station, taking his morning dump, and then bombard the station from across the street.

You'll have a blast if they're still good. I had some that sat for a few years. They were blowing up as they came out the barrels. We never used muffs because they would "thunk" with the mild load, and on that 4th our ears were a ringing. So be sure to wear muffs when you check them out. I took out the neighbors kids snowman one night, popped some down chimpmunk holes and also took out some yellow jacket ground nests. Don't use an auto loader or pump as they'll tear the bottom off the hull, use a top break and be sure to clean it after you're done.
    Hope they work!

David, of course you have never been involved in any juvenile pranks like that. This is simply something you might have heard happen at another agency with a less disciplined force...Right?
