Colt 70sir mag's late production
I have not been involved in colt collecting long enough to be sure. Here's my question. I am getting the fealing that when colt went to series 70 sufix they started supplying there guns with mag's that had the rampit colt on the bottom of the mag. I am wondering if the letter at the back of the bottom in some cases it is a M indicates series 70 and when there is a C it is a 80 series. Got an answer anyone? 217-585-1911 gunsmth45@aol.com I would really like to talk to someone who knows. Give me your number and time and I will call you. John

I think M = Metalform and C = Checkmate contracted sheetmetal benders.
Colt doesn't make their own magazines any more, or at least not all of them.0 -
Plus 1 for Hawk he has the answer. 0 -
Ok Ok
The important question is, did colt supply mag's with the pony stamped on the bottom of the mag on 70 sufix colts?0 -
Yes, my '70 series commander mag has a pony on it. 0 -
