spanish m43 mauser

can anyone tell me some additional information about these mausers. i have acquired on in exc condition, but it has no import mark, no crest mark on the receiver. it does have the maltese cross everywhere. the bolt is turned down instead of straight, doesnt look factory, but nicely done. ser# is 788, is there someone that can tell me what year this might be mfg. any info is appreciated.

  Pictures would help. Is it a 7MM or .308.
