The JL Galef Co. was a long time firearms importer/distributor located in N.Y. The Knight with the helmet was their Trade Mark.
Recently I ran across a Beretta Model 70 pistol that was imported by Galef, their Trade Mark was on the plastic grips.
The revolver your inquiring about was made in Spain in the 1920's. I would take it to a gunsmith for inspection of timing, lockup and test firing prior to shooting it yourself. These Spanish made revolvers were generally of mediocre quality and workmanship. Given it's over 80 years old with a unknown history and round count, don't fire it unless your absolutely sure it's safe.0
