Need help Identifying a stevens model pistol
I recently came across a .22LR pistol, all I know about it is it is single shot, and it has a lever mechanism that opens the end of the barrel for loading unloading. on the barrel itself it says J. Stevens A & T. Co
Chicopee Falls, Mass. USA
closer to the rear sights it has the Words Stevens Mayna on it, the second word is longer, but due to what must be a replacement sight, it is marred out.
I will include pictures. any help in identifying the specific model that is is would be greatly appreciated.
This is the link to the album of pictures I have taken, I can take more if needed,

I am also looking for a rough estimate of value

It looks like the Stevens Maynard Junior No 15 rifle action and the partial markings agree.
I don't know if Stevens ever made a pistol on the M.J. action; it may be a homebuilt. If so, it is not really legal but I doubt the revenuers will come down on you for it. Maybe.0 -
What you have is an illegal pistol made from a early 1900s Stevens "Maynard Junior" boy's rifle.. 0 -
Estimated value for a cut-down rifle is $250,000 and 10 years in a federal facility. 0 -
I appreciate everyones quick replies to this, that could explain why it was hidden up in the attic instead of being taken care of like an old gun deserves. I hate to have to get rid of it, but I try to follow the law to a tee. 0 -
Scrap or otherwise dispose of the barrel. The rest is parts. Would like to buy the lever. Contact me if interested. 0
