COLT COMBAT COMMANDER
I have a Colt Combat Commander, in 9mm caliber, and I am trying to figure out what series it is. The Bluebook only has a listing for an 80 series gun. But, from what I have seen on a few of the gunsites this gun was also made in a series 70. The serial no. is: 70BS65XXX.
Any info would be greatly appreciated. Or, if someone knows of a website that would give me the info I am seeking. Thanks in advance.

What is a nickel stain Colt Combat Commander worth if NIB with all the paperwork including correct box? 0 -
Is there not a zero in there?
Proofhouse.com says they started in 1970 at 70SC01001.
If so, 1971.
If not, I don't know.
If you call Colt they will tell you the year made but no other information without paying for a factory letter. I don't know about the box.

Two Piece Fairly dark wood-grain on top Inside both pieces is Black and outside of bottom also black NO COLT LOGO inside box. If you left out the 0 Then the serial 70SC05572 would be 1972 Vintage and at the very end of the two piece box. 0 -
THERE IS NO 0 IN THE S.N. ONLY 70SC5572 THANKS, ARTIE 0 -
In 1977 the 70SC series started at 50201. Is there another digit after your 5572 (or between those numbers)? Otherwise your number doesn't fit the printed materials we generally use. 0
